Finally, we went somewhere warm.  Instead of icebergs, we had beaches, sunshine, tropical rainforests and soft breezes.  Instead of down parkas and high rubber boots, we wore bathing suits and sandals.   

In February, 2004, Arlon and I left Miami for Belize City, Belize, for a Betchart AAAS tour conducted by Lindblad Expeditions.  The first five days were spent aboard the Sea Lion, moving from island to island and coral reef to the mainland of Belize, Honduras and Guatemala.  Arlon snorkeled and I waded and took pictures.
