Hi Donna! Thank you so much for allowing Janie and I to visit your wonderful web site. What a surprise to see pictures of us! I think I took the picture of you and Judy with "Tootsie" the day we went to Masada. We sure had a great time in Israel and Egypt. Thanks for not including evidence of my humiliating experience with the potato game at the galabeya party onboard the Sun King. We thoroughly enjoyed viewing the pictures of your incredible journey to Antarctica. I'm particularly motivated to trek down there someday. Is this Hruska family related to the Hruska family that came from Bohemia in the late 1800s? My mother was the daughter of Rudolph Hruska, who along with his six brothers were primarily farmers in the Menominee, Michigan area. Greg LeBouton Spikes155@aol.com

Heart warming! As a relative living all the way in California it is very hard to keep up on all the family news. It was wonderful to view all the photo's of my cousins and their own families. Hi; Thank Jennifer Hruska for introducing me, Tom Hruska to your page. I hear that her mother, Donna, is doing genealogical research. My background is: 1. Thomas Alexander Hruska, born NYC 19 Oct 1931. 2. My father, Born Ulric Hruska, took the name Alexander when he jumped ship to be with my mother, the blue-eyes blond he met on the ship he was interpreter on. He was born 01 April 1894 in Novy Bydzov, Bohemia, aprox 50 miles (80 Km) east of Prague. 3. My grandfather, Vaclav, born 1850's in Lucna Hora, a few KM north of Novy Bydzov. 4. All Hruskovi before him were from the little (30 buildings) village of Stankov, 12 miles (20 Km) east of Jicin. If any of the above is useful to any of the Hruskas out there in e-mail land pls e-mail me at <thruska&dermagenesis.com> or call )949)240-3280x106, in southern California. I was in the Czech Republic June 1999 and July 1998 visiting the abovce cities and doing a thorough archival research but don't have the files at work so can't give more details. Shot 34 rolls of film last year and 27 this year. Looking forward to hearing from anyone interested in more details. Incidently, it is imperative that you have the birth-town of anyone you're tracing since the records are kept in Land Record Book or church records and they are strictly separated by village/parish.

I really enjoy the web page. It lets us, in Southern Illinois keep up with what our Northern Illinois relatives are doing. Also, since we haven't seen everyone, other than Donna, in a long while a chance to follow the activities. Hopefully some day we can have a big family reunion. Betty, Just checking out the last on the Web site, I see some new things looks good. In regard to hunting Don says that they shoot slugs in Illinois, is that true?
